What is stored

When you create a short link, fwd stores the destination, creation and expiration dates, and your creator IP address. The exact IP is encrypted. A keyed, non-reversible fingerprint is also stored for abuse prevention and rate limiting.

Retention

The destination stops redirecting after the lifetime you select. Creator IP audit data is retained for 90 days from creation, then deleted automatically.

Why it is collected

This data is used only to prevent abuse, investigate reports, revoke harmful links and enforce creation limits. It is not sold or used for advertising.

Security check

Cloudflare Turnstile is used to distinguish legitimate requests from automated abuse. Cloudflare processes the technical data required to provide that check.
